Why personal image is built from the inside out
Most image consulting starts from the outside. It begins with clothing, colors, haircuts. And stays on the surface. The real transformation starts from within.
When someone arrives at an image consulting firm, the usual approach is to start from the outside: the wardrobe, the colors, the haircut, the accessories. It makes sense — image is the first thing others see.
But real personal image does not start in the closet. It starts in identity. Who are you? What matters to you? What do you want to communicate? Without those answers, any exterior change will be shallow and short-lived.
In this article we explore why the right path always goes from inside out, and how to build an image that is consistent with who you really are.
Identity before appearance
Identity is the substrate. Image is the visible expression. If you only work on expression without touching the substrate, what you will have is a well-worn disguise.
Coherence as value
The strongest personal brands are not the most visible. They are the most coherent. Coherence between who you are, what you do and how you present yourself.
